Rookie
KD Open-Front Locker

General:  Lockers shall be "Superior Rookie KD Sport Stock Lockers" as manufactured by List Industries Inc. or approved equal.  Fabricate lockers square, rigid and without warp, with metal faces flat and free from dents or distortion.  Make all exposed metal edges safe to touch.  Bolt or rivet all joints and connections as standard with manufacturer.  Do not expose bolts or rivet heads on fronts of locker doors or frames except for fastening of number plates.

Lockers shall be GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certified℠.

Finishing:  All locker parts to be cleaned and coated after fabrication with a seven stage zinc/iron phosphate solution to inhibit corrosion, followed by a coat of high grade custom blend powder electrostatically sprayed and baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 20 minutes to provide a tough durable finish.  Stock color to be 717 Grand Slam (blue) or 721 Relay Red.

Wardrobe Doors:  Open front at wardrobe area (no door).

Hat Shelf:  Shall be 16 gauge sheet steel with single bends at sides and back and a double bend at front.

Optional 12" Wide Security Box:  Side to be formed of 16 gauge cold rolled sheet steel.  Security box boor to be 14 gauge cold rolled sheet steel (plain non-ventilated).  A continuous hinge shall be MIG welded to door.  Door to have a combination finger pull / friction catch door latch.  Padlock Strike Plates are optional.

Optional Foot Locker:  Seat shall be formed of 14 gauge cold rolled sheet steel with stiffener sections for reinforcement and be prepared for padlock.  Foot Locker front panel shall be 14 gauge cold rolled sheet steel with Secure-Air-Flow ventilation.  A rubber bumper is to be mounted to locker back to cushion seat in the open position. Padlock Strike Plates are optional.

Steel Coat Rod:  Shall be full width and made of 1/2" diameter steel tubing. 

Vertical Side Panels:  Shall be of integral frame and side wall construction manufactured from 16 gauge sheet steel.  Sides to be diamond perforated for added ventilation.

Locker Base:  16 gauge formed sheet steel with double return flanges at the front and rear.  A full depth horizontal channel shall bolted/riveted under the locker bottom front-to-back at the left and right side of each welded locker unit for maximum rigidity.

Flat Tops:  Shall be formed of one piece of 16 gauge cold rolled sheet steel.

Backs:  Shall be 18 gauge cold rolled sheet steel.

Locks (If Required):  Shall be master keyed to one system for the entire project.  (See lock use chart for suggested lock application).

Equipment:  Furnish each locker with one hat shelf and two single prong wall hooks.

Two-Year Warranty:  Superior KD lockers are covered against all defects in materials and workmanship excluding finish, damage resulting from deliberate destruction and vandalism under this section for a period of two years.
