Superior® Bulk Storage Lockers
General: Lockers shall be Superior Bulk Storage Lockers with all welded components as manufactured by List Industries Inc., 2823 West Orange Avenue, Apopka, FL 32703, www.listindustries.com. Quantities, sizes and arrangements shall be as shown on drawings.
Lockers shall be GREENGUARD Children & Schools CertifiedSM
Locker Fronts: All doors, whether single or double tier, shall consist of 1/2” 16 gauge flattened expanded metal framed by 1-3/8” x 1” 12 gauge formed angles. Single tier doors shall have an angle reinforcement across center. Doors shall be pre-hung in frames at the factory, with all hinges, padlock hasps and door strikes securely welded in position. Door frames shall be fabricated from 1-1/2” x 1” 14 gauge formed channels on the sides and 1-1/2” x 1” formed angles at top and bottom and include a 13” transom. All frames shall be pre-punched for ease of installation. All front assemblies are 1-1/2” deep.
Hinges: Hinges shall be heavy-duty 13 gauge, 7-knuckle butt hinges.
Vertical Dividers: Shall be 1/2” 16 gauge flattened expanded metal securely welded to 1-1/8” x 1-1/8” 14 gauge formed angles. Channels shall be provided on both sides to support shelves and bottoms when specified. All vertical dividers are 1-1/2” less than nominal locker depth to allow for 1-1/2” deep door front assembly.
Repair Angles: 16 gauge 36” long repair angle is pre-punched on 2” centers to “heal” cuts in dividers or transom. Two bolts and clips are included with each angle.
Expanded Metal: Shall be of 1/2” 16 gauge flattened expanded metal for all doors, transoms, backs, vertical dividers and tops.
Shelves: Where required, shall be of 22 gauge galvanized sheet steel with double bend at front and back. Provided as standard for all double tier lockers to separate upper tier from lower tier.
Backs: Where required, shall be of 1/2” 16 gauge flattened expanded.
Bottoms (optional): Where required, shall be of 22 gauge galvanized sheet steel with double bend at front and back.
Tops (optional): Shall be of 1/2” 16 gauge flattened expanded metal with a 16 gauge angle welded at rear. Provide mounting clips and bolts.
Finish: All fronts, vertical dividers, backs and tops shall have one coat of Platinum powder coat finish. Bottoms and shelves shall be galvanized sheet steel, unpainted.
Installation: Vertical dividers and door frames shall be securely anchored to wall and/or floor with an anchoring system selected by the installer. All door frames, tops and backs shall be fastened together using 1/4” x 3/4” cadmium plated bolts and nuts.
