Cell Phone / Tablet Lockers

General: Lockers shall be "Cell Phone / Tablet Lockers " as manufactured by Hallowell or approved equal.  Fabricate lockers square, rigid and without warp, with metal faces flat and free from dents or distortion.  Make all exposed metal edges safe to touch.  Bolt or rivet other joints and connections as standard with manufacturer.  Do not expose bolts or rivet heads on fronts of locker doors or frames except for fastening of number plates.

Lockers shall be GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certified^SM

Finishing:  All locker parts to be cleaned and coated after fabrication with a seven stage zinc/iron phosphate solution to inhibit corrosion, followed by a coat of high grade custom blend powder electrostatically sprayed and baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 20 minutes to provide a tough durable finish.  Color:  Hallowell 711 Platinum (light gray).

Doors: Door to be fabricated from single sheet prime 20 gauge with single bends at top, bottom and double-bends at the sides.  Doors shall be non-ventilated (solid).

Door Hinges:  Shall be a continuous piano hinge securely welded to the door and riveted to the frame. 

Vertical Side Panels:  Shall be of integral frame and side wall construction manufactured from 20 gauge sheet steel.  The one-piece side/frame shall be formed to provide a continuous door strike on the latch side. 

Body:  Fabricate top, bottom, back and tier dividers of 20 gauge (minimum) sheet steel.  Shelves to have single flange on three sides with double flange at front serving as cross frame between tiers.  Tops and bottoms to be single flanged at back and double flanged at front spanning the full width of the locker unit.

Locking/Latching:  Locks serve as door handle/pull.  Choose from one of three options:
                                     Padlock:  Padlock hasp cam lock for padlocks by others.
                                     Key Lock:  Cylinder cam locks control keyed to one system
                                     DigiTech™ Lock: Code access electronic lock in temporary-use 
                                                                        mode that can be programmed for permanent use.

Two-Year Warranty:  Hallowell Cell Phone / Tablet Lockers are covered against all defects in materials and workmanship excluding finish, damage resulting from deliberate destruction and vandalism under this section for a period of two years.
